Almost finished NOS4R2 by Joe Hill. (Joe Hill is the son of Stephen King and every bit as good)

I've always re-read books because I'm a voracious reader and couldn't always afford to buy new ones. But I do now have a MASSIVE collection which is going to be a PITA when we move.

Always hang on to it!

It's the same with real books vs e-readers as it is with vinyl/CD vs downloads - the physical media is always better. And of course, the even better thing is that, whereas physical music media is at risk of one day being unplayable if the players are no longer available, with books, as long as we can still read, they will endure!

I do prefer real books, though I've got quite a few on Kindle as well. At least with a real book the battery won't die mid-chapter. And you can exchange books with friends.

The disadvantage with real books is storage space. I've got some packed in boxes because I simply don't have anywhere to put them.

I didn’t know about Joe Hill, thanks Astra! I’ve just downloaded a few samples of his. (That’s something I prefer about the kindle - free samples, so you don’t have to pay for a book you won’t enjoy!)
I’m currently re-reading Roots, but finding it really hard going. I think it’s because I’m a mum now which has given me more empathy, I didn’t find it this upsetting when I read it as a teenager!

If you like Stephen King, you'll like Joe Hill. He writes in a similar vein, but still with his own style. My favourite of his so far is The Fireman.

I'm not much of a reader but I'm about to start on a book called All I Want Is For My Family To Be Proud Of Me. It's a teen/YA book but it seems interesting so I'll give it a go.

I'm reading A Study in Scarlet, Conan Doyle - the first of the Sherlock Holmes series. I could absolutely swear that I'd read it before, and assumed this would be a re-read, but it seems not, as it all seems new to me. It's a cracking read, btw, if you've not read it, give it a go.
