Something which might be a bit similar to that .....

Ed Ventures with Ed Byrne where comedian Ed takes one of his showbiz pals on a long walk in different parts of the country and chats whilst rambling

here's Rhod Gilbert .......

I've been watching a few 'Bushcraft Channels' lately

They all tend to be a bit the same ...... someone goes off into the forest for a few days, builds a shelter, builds a fireplace, collects wood and whatever else they can find, builds a fire, cooks some grub, builds up their bedding area, goes to sleep

often accompanied by their faithful dog

nothing much happens apart from that and there's generally no spoken soundtrack, just the ambient sounds of the forest

but it's quite interesting to se how different people build shelters in different climatic conditions ...... and it's soothing, quiet an d relaxing watching them !

Now that I think about it I used to love those Ray Mears programmes where he'd go off the beaten track and survive on what nature provides so I guess these youtube videos are covering similar ground

I love Ray Mears - I've watched a lot of his programmes and they're really interesting.

Far better than Bear Grylls - he's too "look at me, aren't I clever"

I thought Ray Mears had died a few years back

Turns out he's still here and only 57!

The Googling turned up this
Does Ray Mears like Bear Grylls?

So allegedly, Bear likes and respects Ray Mears, but Ray Mears dislikes Bear. How much of it is really true or just press, I can't say, but there's a lot in the Bushcraft world that dislike Bear Grylls
