I've always liked computer games, from simple early ones on my Acorn Electron (Repton was brilliant!) through Flight Simulator on Windows, then a load of Tomb Raider variants

I use my PlayStation mostly these days. I've progressed through PS2, PS3 and currently a PS4 (still got them all, plus all the games). I'm not very good at anything that puts me under pressure (shoot 'em up type games) or where you have to achieve a tricky level of competence to progress to the next level (Gran Turismo always thwarted my attempts to improve). Also not too keen on anything too violent - the premise of Grand Theft Auto was great, but killing characters to get money wasn't my cup of tea

But there's always something different out there. We have enjoyed Guitar Hero (we got really good at that and discovered some new artists along the way), and really enjoyed a lot of the Lego franchise (Star Wars, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Pirates Of The Caribbean etc. )

More recently I've been fairly addicted to Farming Simulator. I first became aware of the game when Ed Byrne mentioned playing it on Mock The Week. I'm on my fourth incarnation of it now, and had to move from PS3 to PS4 to get what is the latest version of the game. There's due to be another one released soon-ish, but that'll be PS5 only, so I'll have to wait a while for that. I've put hundreds of hours into building my farms, creating fields, ploughing them, planting them, gathering crops, keeping animals etc :ugeek:

Anyone else admit to anything like this? :)

I’m more of a mobile games fan myself including Township, Candy Crush, Cookie Jam, Cookies Inc etc.

The type of games I like include match 3, town building, clicker/idle, mahjong and casual.

I'm not much of a gamer but I have a Switch and a few of the older consoles from PS1 to Wii. I'm just (well on and off since Easter) getting into Animal Crossing but I haven't quite got to grips with it yet.

I have several games installed on the PC but it's been ages since I touched any of them except for brief interludes due to all sorts of reasons that make no difference on their own but cumulatively do :(

As to the games themselves, all very much turn of the century or direct descendants thereof - Unreal Tournament, Voyager Elite Force, AVP, with flight sims of Warbirds and Comanche v Hokum.

Mobile gaming is limited to Freecell of which I have an ancient but properly clean free version with no ads or leechng.
E&OE, P&P not included, warranty void if viewed 😎
